Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with EOS iTR AF X

Enjoy updated, faster auto focus technology. Pin-sharp and ultra-responsive face, eye, head, body, and animal tracking covering the full sensor. Have full control with face-only recognition and customisable settings to help ensure your focus never slips.

Professional recording formats and high frame rates

Including 12-bit Cinema RAW Light LT / ST / HQ up to 6K 60P, and 4K 120P. Oversampled 4K 4:2:2 10-bit is available via XF-AVC and improved XF-AVC S / XF-HEVC S (MP4) formats, all featuring detailed metadata and filename structures.

On-body I/O including 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, 2x mini-XLR, Mic In, Remote, Timecode, LENS, and Genlock / SYNC / Return. Built-in Wi-Fi/Ethernet enables real-time IP streaming (SRT / RTSP) and remote control via XC Protocol. Expandable with Canon’s Multi-Function Shoe.

Built for live multi-camera productions

Return Input and advanced features enable live programming monitoring and compatibility with industry-standard lenses thanks to 12-pin lens interface. This is enhanced via XC Protocol accessories and smartphone applications such as the RC-IP1000 and Multi-Camera Control App.

What is triple base ISO?

Triple base ISO delivers the best signal-to-noise ratio at multiple amplifications. Canon’s cutting-edge 6K BSI sensor measures at three base ISOs – 800, 3200, and 12800 ISO – choose between them, or use auto-switching and the CINEMA EOS C400 will pick the optimal setting.

What is a BSI Sensor?

The backside illuminated (BSI) sensor’s improved architecture places circuity underneath the sensor plane. Benefits include increased dynamic range, auto-focus and rolling shutter performance.

In Virtual Production and VFX workflows, camera metadata is essential to producing professional results. The CINEMA EOS C400 and Canon RF mount lenses let you extract every drop of metadata – from ISO to f stop and even distortion correction – so your post process becomes smoother than ever.
