Design and Build

The new RF 600mm F4 lens from Canon weighs 3090gm and features the iconic L-series white finish that helps to reflect light and heat, making the lens ideal for the photographer who shoots in all types of elements. The lens is dust and moisture resistant and is built from 17 elements in 13 groups.

Low Light, No Problem

For excellent control over depth-of-field and low-light performance, the wide F4 aperture delivers tack-sharp images across the frame in even the most challenging environments. Image stabilisation of up to 5-stops allows you to produce sharp images even when working handheld, in low-light.

Professional Image Quality

The use of fluorite glass and Super UD in the construction of the RF 600mm F4 IS USM lens, helps to increase image resolution and contrast. Air Sphere Coating (ASC) and Super Spectra technology also aid image quality when working in tough lighting conditions by minimising ghosting and flare.

Track Faster Than Ever Before

The RF 600mm F4L IS USM features a dual powered ring-type USM focusing drive that works with a high-speed CPU and optimised AF algorithms to acquire focus quickly and quietly.

The lens mount features a second power connection which enables more power to be provided by compatible camera bodies. This extra power is used by the lens to speed up the drive of the focusing motor which in turn increases focusing speed. This allows photographers to track fast-moving subjects and obtain initial focus more quickly.

AutoFocus Improvements

The lens allows the photographer to store two focus presets for fast recall which can save precious time when you need to react fast to a changing scenario, this function also allows you to pull focus when shooting video.

The lens also features three manual-focus speeds making it possible to switch your lens to suit the shooting scenario. Full Time MF allows adjustments to be without switching between focus modes.
