Compact Professional Camcorder

The XA70 captures stunning 4K UHD and Full HD videography using the 1.0-inch Type CMOS 4K sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor. Superior Full HD is delivered by oversampling HD images processed from the sensor.
Face Detection Autofocus
Always ensure that your presenter or subject is in focus and remains in focus. This Pro Camcorder has adjustable focusing speeds and the advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF is incredibly fast and accurate.
Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available to keep your subject in focus, even when moving across the screen, or walking towards/away from the camera. Use the 3.5-inch LCD display to set focus by touching the AF point required causing the camera to lock in.
Manual Focus is also available, set via the focus/zoom ring, to give you complete control over your shot.
Workflow Ready
Integrating perfectly into your workflow, the XA70 includes output options for simultaneous backup and relay recording via dual SD card slots and Infrared mode. Slow Motion (Full HD 0.5x) and Fast Motion (4K/Full HD up to 1200x) are also available to deliver your creative process in high-quality formats.
The camcorder also colour matches with other Canon cameras via the custom picture menu, ensuring excellent colour accuracy and improving colour grading in post-production.
XF-AVC and MP4 for Flexible Recording
Record in the format best suited to you. The camcorder allows for XF-AVC or MP4 recording. Choose XF-AVC for 4K UHD 160Mbps at 25p as well as Full HD 45Mbps at 50P/50i/25P. Alternatively, for smaller video files, record in MP4 for 4K 150Mbps at 25P and Full HD 35Mbps or 17Mbps at 50P/25P.
These flexible recording options allow you to capture footage in a way that makes sense for your post-production workflow.
4K 15x Optical Zoom Lens
The in-built Canon lens has a 35mm equivalent focal range of 25.5-382mm. Plus, a digital zoom boosts to 300x with 5-axis image stabilisation still active.
HD Livestreaming
Stream live with multiple options on how best to customise and present your work. Choose to add a date and timestamp with OSD recording, or share straight to the world via UVC over a computer.
