DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal Stabilizer
The DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal is a compact, lightweight gimbal for the professional handheld stabilisation of mirrorless camera and lens combinations. Packed with creative and ergonomic features, this camera gimbal supports single-hand operations, wireless shutter control, and extended shooting with a long battery life of 10 hours.
Compact design
The first Mini version in the RS series, the DJI RS 3 Mini Gimbal is a redesign which includes a smaller build, integrated battery, and native vertical body shooting capability. The portable design makes it perfect for travel in a camera bag, as well as being lighter at only 795g and thus easier for long-duration use.
Adaptable to your setup
Ideal for a lightweight yet powerful setup the RS 3 Mini brings a payload capacity of 2kg, easily handling mainstream full-frame or APS-C mirrorless cameras and various lens combinations. Examples of compatible setups with this gimbal are the Sony A7S3 and FE 24-70mm F2.8 lens, or the Canon EOS R7 and RF 15-30mm F4.5-6.3 lens.
A NATO expansion port allows for the addition of briefcase handles, external fill lights, and monitors, giving you the flexibility to add the accessories you need for each shot.
Stable shooting
High torque motors help your utilised lenses achieve their maximum focal lengths while remaining stable enough to avoid the need for rebalancing. The 3rd-Gen RS stabilisation algorithm used in this gimbal helps achieve professional-grade image stabilisation, for capturing photos and video when running, at a low angle, or shooting in flashlight mode. This ability to capture fluid movements through subject circling, tracking, or 360° rolls is further emphasised by its light weight, reducing the need for re-shoots due to camera shake.
Flexible operation
An upgraded dual-layered quick-release plate prevents unwanted camera movement and improves launch and storage efficiency. By following the ARCA standard it makes switching between tripods simple. Switching between horizontal and vertical modes is quick and easy, requiring no additional accessories, while also not compromising your ability to film in various operation modes including Upright, Underslung, and Flashlight. This native vertical shooting ability allows you to shoot high-quality content optimised for social media platforms.
Bluetooth shutter control
A Bluetooth shutter control function supports mainstream mirrorless cameras, letting the gimbal automatically reconnect to your camera anytime after the initial pairing. Once the camera is connected the buttons on the RS 3 Mini allow you to directly control video recording and photo capture functions. If connecting a Sony camera with a supported digital lens, you are able to control the optical or digital zoom directly via the front dial.
Switches and dials
The gimbal mode switch button allows you to shift between PF (Pan Follow), PTF (Pan and Tilt Follow), and FPV modes easily.
An ergonomic front dial is featured and can be used to adjust the focus, ISO, aperture, shutter, and other parameters. The gimbal’s three axes can also be controlled with the front dial for more effective solo shooting.
1.4” full-colour touchscreen
With a new UI, the touchscreen has been designed for quick and intuitive use, so you can adjust the most common functions and settings without needing the app.
10-hours of shooting
Shoot for up to 10 hours with the power of the RS 3 Mini’s integrated battery grip. Recharging takes as little as 2.5 hours and can still be used while charging.
Creative features
Create a timelapse as part of your video, move dynamically along up to 10 pre-set tracking points, or simply capture a beautiful panoramic shot. Intelligent features can be found in the Ronin app.
