K&F Concept 58mm Variable ND2-ND32 Filter – 1 to 5 Stop
Take greater control of exposure in bright and changing light. The K&F Concept Variable ND2-ND32 Filter provides adjustable neutral density from 1 to 5 stops, giving photographers and videographers an easy way to reduce the amount of light entering the lens without continually changing between separate fixed ND filters.
Made from professional optical glass rather than optical resin, the filter is designed to reduce incoming light while maintaining a natural overall colour balance. Its multi-coated surface, slim aluminium frame and variable light control make it a practical accessory for photography, filmmaking, outdoor video and content creation.
ND2-ND32 Variable Light Control
The variable neutral density design provides approximately 1-5 stops of adjustable exposure reduction. Simply rotate the filter to increase or decrease the amount of light reaching the camera sensor according to the shooting conditions.
This gives photographers greater flexibility when using wider apertures or slower shutter speeds in bright environments. For video creators and filmmakers, adjustable light reduction can help maintain preferred shutter speed and aperture settings as available light changes.
Optical Glass Construction
The filter is manufactured from optical glass rather than optical resin. Its neutral density function reduces the amount of light entering the lens without intentionally altering the overall colour balance, providing practical exposure control for both still photography and video.
Multi-Coated Nano Protection
K&F Concept’s Nano coating technology provides a water-resistant, scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coated surface. The coating also helps protect against oil and fingerprints, making the filter easier to maintain during regular use.
The anti-reflective coating is designed to minimise unwanted reflections while helping protect the optical glass from everyday handling and environmental exposure.
Designed to Avoid the X-Cross Effect
The variable ND design is engineered to help prevent the unwanted dark X-shaped cross pattern sometimes associated with variable neutral density filters. This provides more consistent light reduction throughout the intended ND2-ND32 adjustment range.
Slim Aluminium Filter Frame
The filter uses a slim-profile frame designed to help minimise the risk of vignetting when shooting with wider-angle lenses. Its durable aluminium ring provides a lightweight but robust mounting system while helping reduce the possibility of the filter becoming jammed during fitting or removal.
Variable ND Filter for Photography
Adjustable neutral density gives photographers greater creative control in bright conditions. Reducing incoming light can make it possible to use slower shutter speeds for creative motion effects or wider apertures for shallower depth of field when available light would otherwise require different exposure settings.
This makes the filter useful for landscapes, travel, outdoor portraits, nature photography and other situations where greater control over incoming light is required.
Ideal for Video and Content Creation
Variable ND filters are particularly useful for video recording, filmmaking, vlogging and content creation. Instead of repeatedly changing fixed ND filters, the amount of light can be adjusted by rotating the filter as shooting conditions change.
This can help videographers maintain their preferred shutter speed, aperture and ISO combination while controlling exposure in brighter environments.
Lens Compatibility
This version has a 58mm rear filter thread and is designed for lenses with the corresponding filter diameter. Filter compatibility is determined by the lens thread size rather than the camera brand or lens mount.
Before ordering, check the front or side of your lens or the underside of its lens cap for the diameter symbol Ø followed by the filter size. The diameter shown on your lens must match the filter mounting size.
Important: due to the wider front profile of this filter, K&F Concept specifies a 62mm lens cap or hood for this 58mm version.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an ND2-ND32 variable ND filter do?
It reduces the amount of light entering the camera lens by approximately 1-5 stops. The amount of light reduction can be adjusted by rotating the filter, providing greater control over exposure in bright and changing conditions.
Is this filter suitable for photography and video?
Yes. Photographers can use the adjustable light reduction for greater control over aperture and shutter speed, while videographers can use it to manage exposure while maintaining preferred recording settings.
Can I use this filter for long-exposure photography?
The 1-5 stop variable ND range can provide additional shutter-speed flexibility in brighter conditions. The achievable shutter speed will depend on available light, ISO, aperture and the selected level of ND reduction.
Does this filter include a circular polariser?
No. This model is a variable neutral density filter and should not be confused with K&F Concept’s combined ND and CPL filters.
Will it fit Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm or Panasonic cameras?
Compatibility is determined by the lens rather than the camera brand. Check the filter diameter marked on your lens and make sure it matches the 58mm mounting thread of this version.
What size lens cap is required?
For this 58mm version, K&F Concept specifies a 62mm lens cap or hood due to the larger front profile of the filter.
Will the filter affect image colour?
The filter is designed to reduce incoming light without intentionally changing the overall colour balance, allowing exposure to be controlled while maintaining natural-looking colour.
