Power Zoom

The Nikon Z 12-28mm f3.5-5.6 DX PZ VR Lens features a power zoom function so that the user can control the zoom remotely via the Nikon ML-L7 remote control or Snap Bridge app. This is perfect for solo shooters or when using a gimbal for video capture. The power zoom has 11 different zoom speeds that can cover the entirety of the 12-28mm focal length in anything from 36 seconds down to half a second. This gives you ultimate control over your footage and creativity.

Travel Friendly

Weighing in at a mere 205g, the NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm is easy to carry and light enough to use with most gimbals. As the lens barrel doesn’t change length when zooming, it is optimally balanced when shooting handheld and doesn’t need to be re-balanced when using a gimbal.

The lens delivers up to 4.5 stops* of in-lens Vibration Reduction (VR) to ensure that you always capture clear, blur-free shots while on the move.

*Based on CIPA Standards; this value is achieved when attached to an APS-C size/DX-format camera with the camera’s VR function set to “NORMAL” and the zoom set to the maximum telephoto position.

Lens Construction

The lens has been constructed from 12 elements in 11 groups (including 1 ED glass element and 1 aspherical lens element) and the barrel has been sealed to protect it from dust and water droplets. The filter diameter is 67mm and allows for filters to be swapped out while the HB-112 Lens Hood is still attached.
