The Nikon Z 28-135mm f4 PZ is the first Z Mount lens specifically designed for video. The surprisingly lightweight and balanced lens holds a host of professional video features built to support solo creators and small crews including remote control operation, 11 power zoom speeds, reversible control ring direction and position record and recall. It is also dust and moisture-sealed for any location.

8K Ready

The high-performance glass construction and optical coatings capture incredibly clear and dynamic footage even under strong sunlight or studio lighting. It resolves high-definition 8K video that allows for plenty of crop in post and output in 4K.  Zoom and Focus Control

Take control of your work with the professional design of the Servo Zoom Control that understands the needs of a small video crew. The Nikon 28-135mm f4 video lens has 11 different power zoom speeds that can be assigned to the zoom lever, this works with ease-in/ease-out to negate the need for an external motorised zoom unit.

Furthermore, the position record and recall settings and accurate linear manual focusing let you easily re-frame between takes for repeatable results. And the direction of the focus and zoom rings can be reversed to match the camera operator’s preference.

For Solo Creators and Small Crews

The NIKKOR Z 28-135mm understands the restrictions a solo video creator or small crew has to work with which is why the lens is gimbal-friendly with a weight of 1210g and remote controllable. This compact and well-balanced design is even usable when shooting handheld for run-and-gun creation styles.

The focal range of 28-135mm serves a wide range of potential shots required to create an entire video and the close focusing distances of 0.34m from 28-50mm, and 0.57m at 135mm allows you to achieve dynamic close-ups.

Nikon Compatibility

This lens is ideally created for those using a Nikon Z9, Z8 or Z6III camera, as these are all compatible with the lens’ 11 zoom speeds and work with their pro-video settings for unlimited creative control. That being said, the lens is compatible with all Nikon Z cameras and the 11 different zoom speeds will be available on the Z5, Z6II and Z7II after a firmware update*.

*Not available on Z6 or Z7.

The lens is also compatible with a wide range of professional video accessories such as matte boxes and follow focus systems, allowing you to build your perfect rig.
