Nikon Z FC With DX 16-50mm VR SL + DX 50-250 VR lens

The Nikon Z fc with 16-50mm and 50-250mm lens offers the latest Z technology all wrapped up in a classic design. While the body harkens back to the celebrated Nikon FM2 SLR film camera, the core of this camera is very much of its time. Boasting a 20.9MP DX format CMOS sensor, an EXPEED 6 processing engine, continuous shooting up to 11fps, 4K movie, vari-angle screen and WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity this camera has everything you need for creating in the modern world while retaining a classic and stylish design.

Yesterday’s design with today’s tech

The exterior of the Nikon Z fc was inspired by the classic FM2 SLR film camera that was first introduced back in 1982. The body has been constructed from magnesium alloy for durability and lightness and boasts authentic FM2 design details that have been meticulously re-created, including the control dials, the round viewfinder and the classic Nikon logo that has been engraved on the pentaprism.

The top of the body features 3 dials for controlling shutter speed, exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity, for simple operation while the i button and i menu allow users to quickly adjust a variety of settings with the press of a button. These can be customised to the user’s individual shooting preferences.

At the core of the camera is a 20.9MP DX format CMOS sensor along with the EXPEED 6 processor to run the fast, wide Hybrid-AF system. The Hybrid AutoFocus system has 209 on-sensor AF points that cover approximately 100% of the frame and it will operate fully with the camera’s 11 frames per second continuous shooting feature. This combined with an impressive ISO range of 100-51200 means that you will get fast, accurate and sharp auto-focus with every shot.

Another fantastic feature of the Z fc is that it supports exposure compensation during AUTO mode. This enables the user to achieve their desired expression by increasing brightness and enhancing silhouettes, etc.

The camera also features 20 Creative Picture Control options that deliver unique expressions. By selecting themes with different parameters such as hue, toning and saturation, users can express a variety of moods, as well as adjust effects to their taste.

Perfect for movie making, interviews and vlogging

When the FM2 was released in the early 80’s it broke new barriers for faster shutter speeds than ever before. Video however, was not an option back then. The Z fc, on the other hand is capable of shooting 4K movies at 30p, slow-motion in Full HD with no crop-factor limitations and is the first Nikon Z camera to feature a vari-angle monitor making this a camera that can be used for making movies, interviews or vlogs.

Another thing that the Z fc supportsis  Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF in both stills and video. The wide-area AF (L) AF-area mode is supported, further ensuring the clear capture of eyes and faces by limiting the focusing area. Continuous focus on the eyes of the intended subject when there are several people in the frame, or the tracking of eyes of a pet that’s moving, can also be achieved.

New Lenses  and Kits

Alongside the new Z fc body only, Nikon are also releasing two new special edition kit lenses. The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE and NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR. Both of these will be available with the Z fc as kits.

You have got the Nikon Z fc with NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens, the Nikon Z fc with NIKKOR Z 28mm f2.8 Special Edition Lens and theNikon Z fc with 16-50mm and 50-200mm lens.

User friendly

The Nikon Z fc features an electronic viewfinder with a 2360k-dot resolution for those of you who prefer to shoot with the camera close to your eye.

It is possible to shoot images or video in almost any condition thanks to the high-resolution vari-angle monitor that can be tilted in almost any direction. This makes it easy to use in low or high angle situations, tight spaces or as a vlogging setup where you want to have the camera pointed at you while still having access to the monitor.

When you are out and about, you can connect the Z fc to your mobile devices with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth along with the Nikon SnapBridge app to make it easier to send photos and movies to your devices or storage.

When it comes to accessories, you can use remote controls, speedlights, microphone and more from the DSLR system.
