Enjoy the new upgraded image stabilisation system, developed to enhance your shooting experience and help you tell your story in smooth crisp detail. Features 6.5 steps of compensation and up to 7.5 steps with compatible Sync-IS lenses, allowing for over 15% better stabilisation than previous models.

The entire body of the OM-5 has been weather sealed to an IP53 rating, meaning that the camera is dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof up to -10°C. Supersonic Wave Filter
Designed with a supersonic wave filter that vibrates over 30,000 times per second to remove dust particles from your sensor every time the camera is turned on or off. This allows the camera to maintain the sensor and allows you to take amazing images for years.

Live View Screen
Live composite and keystone compensation have been introduced into the OM-5 to allow for easier live screen control. Enabling you to capture beautifully varied shots even in difficult exposure control situations. The keystone compensation allows you to view effects in the live view screen while using vertical/horizontal simultaneous trapezoidal compensation.
High-Res Shot
Merge multiple images thanks to the high-res shot feature that creates approximately 50-megapixel high-resolution images. This allows you to create images that have an improved resolution as well as minimise noise.
Pro Capture
Never miss a moment with pro Capture, the OM-5 begins recording once the shutter button is pressed halfway, helping to reduce the effect of human reaction times and camera operation lag when capturing video footage. This feature can allow you to capture up to 14 previous frames when shooting with high-speed sequential shooting up to 30 fps.
Built-in ND Filter
An in-built ND16 filter provides you with options to capture long-exposure photos without needing to carry extra accessories. Don’t be distracted from your experience with changing out your filter, simply press a button and keep focused on what’s happening in front of you.
Advanced AF
A 121-point all cross-type on-chip phase detection AF sensor allows for greater freedom over framing and high-precision focusing. The OM-5 has also been designed with AF Target mode, this advanced AF system enables you the freedom over AF areas depending on subject movement and position. Make a selection of any odd number of points from 11 vertical and 11 horizontal and select from three levels of vertical and horizontal AF area movement steps.
Starry Sky AF
Designed with specialised Starry Sky AF, helping to deliver high-precision autofocusing. Proving especially handy during astrophotography.
Capture 4K Stunning Vertical Video
Record stable, hand-held 4K video with no time limits when combined with the dedicated video electronic stabilisation. Create vertical videos straight from your OM-5 and post them straight to your social media channels, videos recorded in vertical orientation are saved as vertical files, with no need for special editing software.
OM-Log Is Supported
Enjoy greater freedom and more advanced colour grading opportunities when recording video footage in OM-Log. Letting you capture highlights and shadows without overexposing or underexposing shots.
Tell Your Story From Anywhere
The OM-5 is compatible with the OM Image Share Smartphone app. This application can allow you to transfer shooting data and perform remote operations via a simple Wi-Fi connection. This also allows location information from your smartphone to be embedded in recorded images. Other features included with the OI. Share Smartphone application are wireless release, voice control operations and tap operations.
