The Panasonic Leica DG Vario Elmarit 12-35mm f2.8 ASPH Power O.I.S Lens is a cropped sensor lens that gives you a 35mm camera equivalent of 24-70mm when shooting and is designed to fit Micro Four Thirds cameras.

High optical performance

Four aspherical lens elements work to reduce a variety of aberrations and distortions for sharp, clean image quality. The UED (Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion) lens together with Panasonic’s nano surface coating gives effective antireflection and clearer image production, while the UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens’ updated high-transmission glass helps achieve a more natural colour reproduction. A new light shielding part further minimises the occurrence of ghosting and flaring.

Smooth bokeh

The rounded seven-blad diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality, which can be used to isolate a subject and create images with a distinct depth of field. The f2.8 aperture supports greater control over the depth of field and grants the ability to work in difficult lighting conditions.

Versatile operation

A shorter focusing distance of 0.15m and a larger magnification ratio of 0.21x compared to the original lens, makes this Leica-approved 12-35mm f2.8 lens suitable for more versatile use.

The Power OIS allows for smooth and silent operation along with the high-precision contrast AF system giving a high-speed 240fps performance. This provides crisp images minimising the appearance of camera shake in handheld shooting, as well as the opportunity to record professional-quality video when utilising mechanisms which suppress focus breathing and give you micro-level aperture control.

The lens also supports Dual IS functionality for increased stabilisation performance; plus a splash-resistant, dust-resistant, and freezeproof design for working outside or in inclement weather conditions.

Compact design

Lightweight at approximately 306g, and with a compact build, this lens compliments the high mobility of the Micro Four Thirds system, yet maintains a rugged and durable design.
