The Panasonic Leica DG SUMMILUX 9mm f1.7 ASPH is an Ultra-Wide, Half Macro, micro four-thirds lens that is perfect for landscape and macro photography thanks to the large, constant f1.7 aperture, a close focusing distance of just 9.5cm and an outstanding magnification ratio of 0.25x (35mm camera equivalent: 0.5x).

Weighing in at only 130g and measuring just 60.8 x 52mm the Panasonic Leica DG SUMMILUX 9mm f1.7 ASPH is compact and lightweight enough to take with you anywhere. The lens boasts an ultra-wide focal length of 9mm (18mm)* making it a perfect choice for landscape photography. But that’s not all. Thanks to a large f1.7 aperture, close focusing distance of 9.5cm, 7-blade circular aperture diaphragm and a maximum magnification of 0.5x* you also have a lens that lends itself to macro photography.

Outstanding video performance

The Leica DG SUMMILUX 9mm F1.7 ASPH is also a fantastic lens for videography. The lens works with the camera’s AF system, at a maximum of 240fps for smooth and silent operation, suppresses focus breathing and features a micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure change.

It is possible to set the coordination between the focus ring operation and the amount of focus movement when using supported lenses.

• Non-Linear – This setting accelerates the focus movement in accordance with the speed of the focus ring rotation.
• Linear – This setting moves the focus at a constant speed in accordance with the rotating angle of the focus ring.

When LINEAR is selected, you can set the focus ring’s rotating angle, enabling you to focus intuitively and accurately in the manner you are accustomed to.

Sensitivity (the amount of focus shift per rotational quantum) can be selected from 90 to 360 degrees1 by 30 degrees to enable intended focus operation.

Premium Glass

Working in partnership with Leica, this lens is built to their high-quality standards. Comprising of 12 elements in 9 groups, the premium glass includes 2 aspherical lenses, 2 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses, and 1 UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens to suppress both axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration of magnification. Astigmatism is also corrected with these aspherical lenses, achieving high resolving performance.

Splash/dust/freeze-resistant

The Panasonic Leica DG SUMMILUX 9mm f1.7 ASPH lens comes equipped with a 55mm filter diameter, a Fluorine coating and is splash, dust and freeze-resistant* allowing you to brave the elements in nearly any kind of weather or shooting location. The lens is also resistant to temperatures as low as -10^o.
