The all-new Ricoh GR IIIx is a high-end digital compact camera that features a newly developed GR lens with a 40mm angle view when in the 35mm format. The GR IIIx provides superior image quality in a compact and lightweight body that is developed in response from current Ricoh GR-series users with the likes of the Ricoh GR III, bringing a new perspective that’s perfect for dramatic and inspiring street photography.

Newly Developed 26.1mm Wide Angle Lens

The 26.1mm F2.8 lens is equivalent to 40mm in 35mm format and offers the user a focal length that corresponds to the angle of view of the human eye and therefore provides a natural shooting perspective. The GR IIIx provides more creative opportunities thanks to the F2.8 aperture that’s capable of producing beautifully soft and natural bokeh.

Hybrid AF System

The Ricoh GR IIIx’s hybrid AF system combines a contrast-type AF mechanism with a phase-detection-type AF mechanism which assures high-speed and accurate auto-focusing. Capable of both eye and face detection, when the camera detects multiple faces, it will automatically distinguish the main subject from secondary ones and will indicate this selection on the focus frame. Photographers can change this main subject with a simple touchscreen operation.

Lightweight and Compact Design

The GR IIIx is designed to be a pocketable camera, able to be brought up to the eye in a split second to capture the world around you. A super-fast start-up time of 0.8 seconds and control dials that are intuitively positioned allows the photographer to react to once in a lifetime shutter opportunities. The rigid and durable magnesium alloy build improves the longevity of the GR IIIx whilst being carried and stored.

Focal Length Versatility

Adapt and increase the focal range of the Ricoh GR IIIx through the adapters and crop functions, giving the GR IIIx a working focal range between 40mm and 107mm.

Steady Shooting

The 24.24MP APS-C CMOS sensor features sensory shift shake reduction which reduces the risk of camera shake due to vibration or movement. The 3-axis shake reduction system allows for up to 4-stops of exposure reliability.

New Features

The Ricoh GR IIIx features a new depth of field priority, eye and face detection, new shooting formats (4:3 and 16:9), image rotation in 0.1-degree increments and automatic file size reduction for WiFi transmission. These new upgrades prove that Ricoh are creating the ultimate street photography tool that allows the user to be ready to share their images and video, instantly.

Advanced Image Editing

Take more control over your post-production image editing with RAW-format images. The Ricoh GR IIIx also features 10 different built-in settings for film simulation and now introduces a new monotone setting. These settings can be manipulated even further to suit the user’s preferences and stored in the camera’s memory for future use.

High-resolution Touch Screen LCD Monitor

The GR IIIx features a 3-inch 1,037,00 pixel touchscreen LCD monitor that allows for intuitive camera control. An ai gapless design reduces reflections, allowing the monitor to be seen and used even in the brightest sunlight. The colour and brightness of the monitor can be adjusted to suit the users requirements and a specially hardened glass surface protects against unwanted scratches and damage.

Quick Communication

The Ricoh GR IIIx features a wireless connection to smartphones and other mobile devices through newly developed image sync app, allowing the user to quickly upload directly to social networks. A Bluetooth connection allows the camera to be connected to a smartphone allowing images to be tagged with GPS data and for the camera to be controlled remotely via the smartphone.

Full HD Video Recording

Not just for creative street photography, the GR IIIx can record full HD video up to 60p with built-in stereo sound.
