The Sigma 20mm f2 DG DN Contemporary For Sony E is an ultra-compact, wide-aperture prime lens for mirrorless full-frame camera users. Combines a bright maximum aperture of f2 with an ultra-wide 20mm focal length with outstanding optics.
This lens is perfect for landscapes, wide-angle portraits, weddings, architecture and is also a fantastic choice for astrophotography.
The lens is available for E-mount and L-mount systems.
Design and build
The 20mm f2 DG DN I is ultra-compact and lightweight weighing in at only 370g and measuring just 72.4cm.* The lens is constructed from 13 elements in 11 groups. This includes 3 high-precision glass-moulded aspherical lens elements, one SLD element, and one FLD element to suppress a range of optical aberrations.
Sagittal coma flare has been suppressed allowing for accurate reproduction of very bright points making this a fantastic lens for night sky photography.
The lens features Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano Porous Coating (NPC), to ensure very minimal flare and ghosting so that you can photograph backlit subjects with high contrast results.
Fast and Bright F2 Aperture
The 20mm f2 DG DN I boasts a super-fast and bright f2 aperture that allows the lens to work extremely well in low-light and is, therefore, an excellent choice for interiors, landscapes and night sky photography.
The wide F2 aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm is the perfect combination for creating super-soft and natural-looking bokeh.
This is the 4th in Sigma’s I series with an f2 aperture joining the 24mm f2, 35mm f2 and the 65mm f2 lenses. These lenses make a well-matched set for photographers who need both performance and portability in their kitbag.
