Versatile with superior optical performance

The Sigma AF 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art Lens combines a versatile wide-angle to portrait-length zoom with a bright, constant f2.8 aperture making this lens a must-have addition to any photographer’s kit bag.

The constant f2.8 aperture allows for greater results in low light situations as well as delivering outstanding bokeh and depth-of-field shots, while the zoom length is perfect for most shooting situations.

The lens also has a minimum focusing distance of 18cm making it perfect for up-close subjects and the maximum magnifications are 1:2.9 at the wide-angle end and 1:4.5 at the telephoto end, which provides a wider range of expression by close-up photography.

The lens is also compatible with APS-C format cameras where it will provide a 36-105mm equivalent focal length range.

The lens is made up of:

• Six F Low Dispersion (FLD) and two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and colour accuracy.
• Three aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.
• Both Super Multi-Layer and NanoPorous Coatings have been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and colour-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.

Compatible with the latest full-frame mirrorless camera bodies

The lens is compatible with various types of full-frame mirrorless camera bodies tailored for L-Mount and Sony E-Mount so as to be capable of exerting the best performance under any photographic circumstances, assuming that professional or advanced amateur photographers use it.

The lens has an AFL button that can have various functions be assigned from a camera body, while a stepping motor allows a good balance between acceleration and quietness of the AF drive for stress-free focusing. The lens is also compatible with the Eye-Detection AF used more frequently in mirrorless cameras, which is capable of high-precision focusing at the time of portrait photography.

Dust and splash-proof structure

The lens’s brass bayonet affords improved mounting accuracy and rigidity and rubber sealing is incorporated in the mount’s design to render it dust- and splash-resistant.

It also has a zoom lock mechanism for preventing the lens barrel from extending unexpectedly.
