The lens features a high-speed HLA motor and OS2 algorithm for fast and precise AF along with 5 stops of effective stabilisation.

The 500mm f/5.6 can be used in harsher weather conditions thanks to its weather-resistant structure and oil-repellent coating on the front lens element. Other features include a de-clickable and lockable aperture ring, a Focus Limiter switch, a Custom Mode switch and a detachable tripod socket.

The lens features convex low-dispersion elements to ensure that chromatic and axial aberrations are kept to an absolute minimum as well as refractive lenses to reduce flare and ghosting. Teleconverter Compatible

The L-Mount version of the lens is compatible with both the Sigma TC-14 II and TC-20 II teleconverters, giving you a focal length of up to 1000mm.

Cover-Type Lens Hood Included

The Sigma 500mm f/5.6 DG DN OS Sport lens comes with a strong and lightweight cover-type lens hood included. The tip of the hood is rubberised to protect the lens from damage when standing the lens nose down.
