Meet the latest Flagship model in the Sony Alpha range. The Sony A6600 Body combines a 24.2MP APS-C image sensor, 4K HDR video recording and advanced photographic features such as rapid AF and AE as well as superb tracking.

Realtime Tracking

Advanced algorithms offer best-in-class autofocus tracking. You can simply select your subject using the touchscreen or shutter button. The tracking will auto-select your subject’s face or eyes depending on the conditions.

Rapid Autofocus and Hybrid AF

The camera features a dense focal point coverage of approx 84% of your image area. When met with the fast hybrid AF system, the camera performs to produce a world-leading 0.2-second focus acquisition speed. Capture moving objects with ease as the dense coverage will allow accurate tracking of challenging subjects in challenging environments.

Superb continuous shooting performance

AF and AE tracking will allow you to track subjects in up to 11fps shooting. Even more impressively, when in silent shutter or live view modes – it will shoot up to 8fps. Display lag is minimal and you can shoot up to an awesome 116 JPEG (Standard) images in one single burst.

Intuitive Autofocus Features

The real-time human eye AF feature will allow you to track your subject with ease. You can select their left or right eye for increased accuracy. Advanced developments mean you can still use the tracking feature when the subject’s face is obscured.

The new Animal Eye AF allows you to track and capture fine detail. Not only on pets but also for creating stunning wildlife photography.

Touch Controlled Focus and Shutter

Touch focus allows you to easily select your point of focus on the rear display. You can also set the camera to focus and activate the shutter with the Touch Shutter option.

Dependable, even in low light

The AF-S will function in lighting as low as EV-2 allowing you to work in darker spaces with ease.

Innovation in image processing

The APS-C 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor is combined with a BIONZ X Image Processing Engine. This allows for supersonic data processing almost doubling the performance of the predecessor, the a6500. This performance enables you to produce clear, textured images.

Low noise and high sensitivity

The A6600 is great for most lighting conditions. Sony has upgraded the ISO range which now spans from ISO 100-32000. Outstanding noise reduction is achieved even in high-sensitivity shooting. Detailed textures and shadowed areas are sharper and more detailed than ever in the range.

5 Axis IBIS

5 Axis In Body Optical Image Stabilisation has been brought over from Sony’s full-frame series. This offers a new level of stabilisation to their APS-C cameras like never before.

Working with a highly precise gyro sensor, the camera will detect and compensate for movements and shake through 5 axes. This gives cover across angular, horizontal, vertical and rotational motion. This is equivalent to a 5-step faster shutter setting.

Realistic Skin Tones

Sony has taken the highly acclaimed skin tone features from their full-frame cameras. This allows produces a stunningly natural and lifelike skin tone making it perfect for portraiture.

Rich tones from 14-bit RAW imaging

A high-performance LSI, combined with BIONZ X Image Processing allows the production of true 14-bit RAW images. The camera processes at 16-bit which prevents and dither or processing issues that compromise your work while offering smooth, natural tones.

4K HDR Movie Recordings

The camera will offer 4K HDR (HLG) video with a full pixel readout and no pixel binning. This allows oversampling of approx 2.4x the info needed to produce 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160), equivalent to 6K resolution. This gives a realistic, deep resolution to your footage.

HLG Hybrid Log Gamma recording means it’s easy to shoot HDR images. The higher bitrate XAVC S codec is also featured.
