The Sony FE 100-400mm f4.5 GM OSS Lens is a high-performance G Master telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame cameras. Full-frame telephoto reach

With a 100-400mm focal length, this Sony telephoto zoom lens gives photographers the flexibility to frame distant subjects without changing lenses. When used on an APS-C camera, it provides a 150-600mm equivalent focal length, making it a strong option for extra reach in bird and wildlife work.

G Master optical design

The lens construction uses 20 groups and 28 elements, including three ED elements, two Super ED elements, one XA lens and one ED XA lens. Nano AR Coating II and fluorine coating are also included, supporting clarity, contrast and practical handling in demanding outdoor conditions.

Fast autofocus for moving subjects

Four XD Linear Motors support fast, accurate focusing for unpredictable subjects. The lens also includes internal floating focusing, Linear Response MF, four focus hold buttons, a focus range limiter, an AF/MF switch and full-time DMF ON/OFF control for refined handling in stills and video use.

Optical SteadyShot stabilisation

Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation helps support handheld shooting at longer focal lengths. Dedicated Optical SteadyShot switch and mode controls allow photographers and filmmakers to adjust operation directly from the lens.

Designed for field use

The Sony FE 100-400mm f4.5 GM OSS Lens is designed with moisture-resistant and dust-resistant construction, although it is not completely moisture or dust proof. It includes a mount rubber ring, non-rotating filter thread, hood lock, zoom torque adjustment and a tripod collar ring-clicking select switch.

Teleconverter compatibility

For additional reach, the lens is compatible with the Sony SEL14TC 1.4x teleconverter and Sony SEL20TC 2.0x teleconverter. This makes it suitable for photographers who need extended framing flexibility for distant wildlife, birds and field sports.
