Outstanding Resolution
The lens features two XA (extreme aspherical) elements to achieve outstanding corner-to-corner resolution even at the lens’s maximum F1.8 aperture. Colour bleeding has been suppressed thanks to one Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) and two ED glass elements to produce image-wide sharpness and clarity, while Sony’s Nano AR Coating II subdues flare and ghosting.
